After a successful season with KS Pogradeci in the Kategoria E dyte of Albania, Nigerian star Suleiman ‘Slow’ Danladi expects another challenging season.
The 23-year-old was vital for KS Pogradeci as they gained promotion, and went the season unbeaten.
A former product of Remmo Soccer Academy in Lagos, Suleiman Danladi is among the fast-rising Nigerian prodigies who have shone brightly in the 2023/2024 football season that concluded across Europe.
The central midfielder who was born in 2000 says he and his teammates must work harder in the new Albanian football season to retain their top-division status.
“It feels as amazing as we earned promotion while going the season unbeaten, as we’ve worked so hard.
“It was a tough battle with other tough teams in the division, but in the end, doing something historic is amazing,” the 23-year-old explained.
“For me, this is one of my most special season. I had a tough time making my debut, but I adjusted fast.
” Now that promotion has been secured, the new challenge is remaining in the top division. That can be achieved if recruitment is done right, we have a good pre-season and go into the new football campaign better prepared.”
