Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has finally opened his goals account for Galatasaray and it is in excellent fashion, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in the summer, had gone three games without a goal for the Turkish champions.
However, the Super Eagles striker ended his mini-goal drought in the 20th minute of Galatasaray’s Super Lig clash with Kasimpasa at the RAMS Park in İstanbul on Saturday afternoon.
Midfielder Abdülkerim Bardakcı sent a peach of a cross into the box for Osimhen who smartly evaded his marker before stroking the ball into the net.
After waiting for three games to score his first goal for Gala, Osimhen needed only eight minutes to grab his second.
The second goal was way better than the first.
Osimhen trapped Gabriel Sara’s ball forward with his thighs and, despite being closely watched by a defender and with his back to goal, executed a stunning turn-and-strike to power the ball home off the crossbar.
It is a goal that had reigning Africa Footballer of the Year written all over it.
The duel eventually ended 3-3 as the visitor staged a comeback.
