Ntuk crowned overall champion of 2024 Ibom golf open

It was a huge surprise but successful 2024 revived edition of Ibom golf club Open tournament as Benjamin Ntuk from became the overall winner of the annual golf trophy last Saturday evening in Uyo.

Ntuk competed in the net tournament against 172 other golfers from various golf clubs across Nigeria. Ntuk registered for the competition as 28 handicap and having won with a Net 71, is now 26 handicap.

The overjoyed Benjamin Ntuk told our reporter he was bent to make a difference in the tournament because of his late brother and his coach.

“I dedicate this trophy to my late brother, Joseph Ntuk who died a week ago. I give God all the glory for all that happened. I know I’ll go far in golf, I’ll represent Nigeria in golf across the continents.

“I was the least player in my flight but we played good golf and at the end of the day, the winner takes it all. And the winner was Benjamin Ntuk.

With excitement Ntuk, said he was determined to win as he stayed low, focus and intentionally forget everything that happened around him. These were the secret of the Uran LGA -born winner of 2024 Ibom golf tournament.

Beside the coveted amateur trophy, Ntuk won 43 inches television, a Hi-Tech traveling bag and a weekend stay for two at Ibom Icon Hotel and Golf Resort. Most of the prices for 22 winners from 7 different categories where sponsored by Ship Afrika, Ibom Air, Urban Kraft and other reputable brands.
