Lagos agog for Dambe Warriors Superfight 2


. Organisers jack up prize money to over N7m

. Algerian warrior ready make impact


The stage is set for the Dambe Superfight 2 scheduled for the Muri Okunola Center on Lagos Island on Sunday.

Organisers at a media parley on Friday announced an increase in the prize money to over N7m as winners in all the three weight categories will go home with N1m each while winners in the promotional fights will earn N500,000 each.

This SuperFight will pit the #1 and #2 ranked fighters in each division against each other for the largest cash prize in Dambe history!

Additionally, 12 new fighters will compete for 6 spots in Season 03 of the League, including foreigner SALIM from Algeria.

Salim insisted that he is in Nigeria to win and have trained for this fight. “I’m glad to be here in Nigeria as the first Algerian to fight in Dambe. As one who is adventurous, it’s great to be here because I want to give my best and open up opportunities for other Algerians who are eager to be a part of this.”

Asked if he is not bothered about his opponent, Salim who is a mixed martial arts fighter stated that in every bout, there will always be one winner and that he is sure of taking the day.

In the Lightweight division, undefeated YAR MAGE and season 1 champion ZAYYANU are set to square off in a match that is sure to have everyone on the edge of their seats.  

Among the Middleweights, Dambe legend RAMADAN will throw down against newcomer SHAABAN in a rematch of one of the most anticipated and exciting fights of the season. 

Heavyweight titans ALI KANIN BELLO and DOGO MAITAKWASARA are set to battle each other in what many pundits consider the biggest and baddest fight in Dambe history!
