Fulham boost as Tosin Adarabioyo avoids lay-off after injury scare

Fulham received a boost as defender Tosin Adarabioyo avoided a lay-off following an injury scare during last weekend’s match against Burnley.

Despite appearing to limp off with a hamstring issue at the end of the game, it’s been revealed that Adarabioyo only suffered a minor knock with no significant damage, and he is expected to be fit for Saturday’s clash against Bournemouth.

This news will be a relief for Fulham, especially considering their current shortage of options at centre-back due to Issa Diop’s hamstring injury and Calvin Bassey’s absence at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Adarabioyo has been a key player for Fulham since his return in November after undergoing planned surgery for a lingering groin problem. With his contract expiring in the summer, Fulham has previously attempted to extend his deal and is likely to offer him improved terms in the coming months, although it remains uncertain whether he will accept.

In the meantime, AC Milan is reportedly exploring the option of signing Adarabioyo on a pre-contract deal, with interest also coming from Serie A rivals Napoli. Since joining Fulham from Manchester City in 2020, Adarabioyo has attracted attention from various clubs, including being listed as a target for Tottenham Hotspur last summer and receiving a failed bid from Monaco in August.
