All set for maiden edition of The Athletics School Games

Organizers of The Athletics School Games, has revealed all is set to stage a groundbreaking annual event billed to redefine the athletics landscape in Lagos.
This was disclosed by founder, Dr. Seun Akinbohun, whose unique competition is design to bring together athletes from various private schools to showcase their athletic talents, while fostering a sense of sportsmanship, healthy competition and community spirit. 
Akinbohun, while addressing the press ahead of the championship scheduled for Saturday, 27th of April at Yaba College of Technology, disclosed the tourney will help create a springboard for the next generation of Nigerian Athletes. 
“  We aim to unearth hidden gems, providing them with a stage to showcase their skills, passion, and dedication. The Athletics School Games isn’t just about winning medals; it’s about shaping the character and aspirations of our youth, instilling in them the values of discipline, teamwork, and resilience that will serve them both on and off the field.”

Athletes will have the opportunity to forge new friendships, learn from one another, and appreciate the value of fair play. Meanwhile, Corona School, The Priory Prep, Atlantic Hall, Grange School, International School, Lagos and host of other registered schools have been primed for races like 60m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, Shuttle Relay, 4x100m, 4x400m, Long Jump, Shuttle Throw and Shot Put.
