The interim coach of Team Nigeria table tennis Segun Toriola has declared the readiness of the team to compete for honours at the upcoming African Games, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian team had a competition to forget in the just-concluded WTT championship held in Busan, Korea.

The 4-time African champion while speaking to Punch Correspondent confirmed that all the senior players including Aruna Quadri are ready to win laurels in Ghana.

“All the players are ready, they are confident but one or two things have to change during the African Games because we want to try some new players,” Toriola said.

“There will be some new faces on the team. We want to try and encourage the young ones; we need them to grow because of the situation in Nigeria. The senior players are 100 per cent ready, including Aruna Quadri.”
