The National President of the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC), Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, has called on the Nigerian football community to unite in support of newly appointed Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle.

Speaking on Tuesday, Ogunjimi emphasized the collective goal of ensuring Nigeria qualifies for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and wins the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

“We must put aside our differences and unite behind Coach Eric Chelle and the Super Eagles,” Ogunjimi stated. “Qualifying for the World Cup and winning the Africa Cup of Nations are our top priorities, and we must work together to achieve these objectives.”

Confidence in Chelle’s Leadership
Ogunjimi expressed confidence in Coach Chelle’s ability to lead the national team to success but stressed the importance of collaboration among stakeholders.

“I am calling on all Nigerian football fans, the Nigeria Football Federation, sponsors, and well-wishers to throw their weight behind Coach Chelle and the Super Eagles,” he said. “Together, we can achieve greatness and bring glory to our beloved country.”

The Road Ahead
With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers looming, Ogunjimi’s appeal serves as a timely reminder of the need for unity and support. The Super Eagles face tough challenges ahead, and a collective effort will be crucial in their quest for success on the continental and global stages.

As Nigeria begins preparations for these high-stakes competitions, Ogunjimi’s call underscores the importance of rallying around the team to ensure they achieve their potential.
