The new head coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle will receive a monthly salary of $55,000 (approximately N84.98 million).
Chelle’s appointment was approved by the NFF Executive Committee following recommendations from its Technical and Development Sub-Committee. He is set to arrive in Nigeria on Saturday and will be officially unveiled in Abuja on Monday, accompanied by his two assistants.
Assistant Coaches’ Salaries
The two assistants will each earn $5,000 per month, while Chelle himself will pocket $50,000 monthly.
Immediate Responsibilities
Chelle’s tenure begins with immediate tasks. He will oversee the Super Eagles B team in their campaign at the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco, scheduled to commence on February 1, 2025.
Long-Term Goals
Beyond CHAN, Chelle faces the critical responsibility of ensuring the Super Eagles qualify for the 2028 FIFA World Cup, a significant milestone for Nigerian football.
