Heartland FC has resumed training in preparation for the second stanza of the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The Naze Millionaires returned to action on Monday morning at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri after a week-long New Year break.

In a statement on their official X account, the club announced their readiness for the second phase of the season. “We are back and better. After the Yuletide break, our boys and other officials, headed by our Technical Manager, Emmanuel Amuneke, resumed this morning for the official start of preparations for the second round, which starts later in the month,” the post read.

Heartland concluded the first stanza of the NPFL in 14th position with 22 points. With the second round of the season set to kick off soon, the team will aim to improve its standings in the league under the guidance of Amuneke.

Fans will be hoping for a stronger performance in the coming weeks as Heartland looks to climb the NPFL table.
