Port Harcourt, Nigeria – Organisers of the much-anticipated WBF World Title Fight, Zeus Sports and Entertainment, have issued an apology to fans and the general public following the postponement of the event initially scheduled to take place last month.
In a statement released by Emmanuel Emenogu, CEO of Zeus Sports, the organisation attributed the postponement to multiple challenges, including injuries sustained by some main event fighters, visa delays for international boxers and guests, and other logistical issues.
Reasons for the Delay
Emenogu explained that Zeus Sports had delayed announcing the postponement because they initially believed the challenges could be resolved in time for the event to proceed as planned. Unfortunately, the obstacles proved more significant than anticipated, leading to the “difficult decision” to reschedule.
Additional Excitement in Store
The statement further revealed that the rescheduled event will now feature additional bouts, including the WBF Heavyweight African Title and the IBO Intercontinental Title, promising an even more exciting lineup for fans.
New Date and Venue Pending
Zeus Sports assured the public that a new date and venue for the event will be announced soon, as they work to ensure a successful hosting of the expanded title fights.
Boxing enthusiasts are encouraged to stay tuned for updates as the organisers finalise preparations to deliver an unforgettable experience.
